Her form was a free-fall
Waves of emotion crashing through her mind
Some felt more disastrous than others
The pain sank its fangs into her heart
The venom filled up her lungs
Suppressing her voice just below her throat
There was no aid for her despair
The pain was slowly eating her alive

Thank you! My favorite part of writing is toying with the imagery of a piece. Words are so beautiful and when you mash them together just right it explodes from the page.

“Suppressing her voice just below her throat”
I like how this line describes what being “choked up” feels like.

Thank you! I had to mess with it a bit. I didn’t want to just say “choked up”.
