From lollipops and sunshine
To stress and booze
Childhood was amazing
Carefree and full of opportunity
Now reality hits
Life’s lessons are now a smack upside the head
Responsibilities turning into stress
Expectations that are too high to be real
But people refuse to see
Be what they want and be glorified
Or be you and be criticized
The choices you are left with
Be fake and accepted
Or be real and judged
Only you can decide
Which option breaks you the least

You can certainly see the life in your poetry. There are elements that most people can relate to in your pieces and you capture the sudden sharpness that comes with adult life well.
