Unique Dance #poetry

Snowflakes slowly danced passed her window

Each flake a unique piece of the puzzle

That becomes lost in masses

As soon as it stops dancing

It joins the others to be a white, fluffy mound

She takes a sip of her warm Oolong tea

Pondering the thought of how people reference snowflakes for their unique designs

But to the naked eye they all look the same

And get lost in a oneness of white snow

  1. Hi Holly,
I admire anyone who can write something based on a daily prompt. I look at them everyday just in case, but my mind always seems to draw a blank!
I loved your poem – so simple and pretty. How like snowflakes we all are! You captured it beautifully.

    1. Thank you so much for taking the time to read my poem and comment. I appreciate it! I use them as daily writing challenges. Sometimes the writing comes easier than other times.

    1. Thank you for taking the time to read my writing and comment on it. When I write poetry I try to keep it open ended. It might mean one thing to me but something different to another. That, to me is the beauty of art.
