In Defense of Humanity

As I write this my heart sinks into my chest, heavy from the awfulness in this world. Looking across the beautiful countries of this Earth are saturated by violence and hate. From North Korea to Spain, Saudi Arabia to Africa and right here to my home in the USA. No place is unscathed from the vileness hate spews but those who hate are the few and we who embrace humanity are the many.

To those who have lost their lives in other countries my heart goes out to you and your loved ones left behind. To those who lost their lives in the senseless shootings in Las Vegas, NV my heart goes to you and your loved ones. I see so many well wishes, prayers and love sent from around the world to other countries and people in these hard times. I embrace your humanity and love and I hope you embrace mine.

Those who hold kindness and love in their hearts for their fellow human beings: We are the many and they are the few.

There was a shimmer to her

A soft accent of light that filled up a room when she stepped in

This wasn’t here intention

To draw the eyes of a crowd

But her sweet warmth and fetching smile made this impossible

There’s worldly beauty

Then there’s beauty that is filled with kindness

She had concern for the world in her eyes

And a love for humanity in her heart

A rare jewel in this world

The sun reflecting her intentions to the world

Journey in Blogging: One Month

Hello lovely fellow bloggers!

I had just some quick news to share with everyone. It’s already been 1 month since I started posting to my WordPress blog. It wasn’t very long ago that I was too nervous, bashful and not confident in my writing to share my writings outside of a handful of people. Now, I’m sharing a piece of my heart and soul with the world every day! It’s truly uplifting and invigorating. I am so thankful for all the support I am being shown on this site from my fellow bloggers. Your likes, follows and comments help to keep me motivated to write and share my posts every day. I couldn’t keep growing into the writer I wish to be without all of you. So, from the bottom of my heart THANK YOU. I look forward to interacting, growing, writing and posting more as these days turn into months. Wow time has flown!
